A generic content API is available as part of Webvision Cloud.
The content can be output as XML or JSON.
The authorisation of users is included in the API, allowing apps to authenticate users against the ADvance system.
The API provides three types of data:
- Authentication and User data
The Authentication API allows users to be authenticated against AD subscription products, for example, “Online” or “Tablet”.”
- Story content
The content API provides a method to request each publication’s story content stored within Webvision. There is support for HTML and plain text for story elements as well as all story attachments such as pictures, files and videos. In addition, there is an interface allowing users to define the criteria for content output, for example, all stories with type “News” published this year.
- Newsletters
There are also methods to output all available newsletters within the system, with supporting information such as FeedURL and assets.
There is a set-up cost if you require use of the API and this will vary depending on the business requirements.
