Webvision Cloud works across a range of current – and legacy – browsers and devices.
Strategy
Abacus e-Media constantly monitors browser statistics using Google Analytics across its client base, as well as worldwide trends.
Where desktop browsers drop below 1% of visitors, they are assessed and usually removed from the list of supported browsers.
For phones and tablets, suppport is based on the operating system version and the standard browser install. The latest 2 versions are supported.
Where browsers – such as Chrome – are in continous development, Webvision Cloud supports the latest stable release.
Webvision Cloud will work on other operating systems not listed, but Abacus has not performed rigorous testing across any browser or OS not listed.
Graceful degrade
Old versions of Internet Explorer will have a ‘browser not supported’ message across the top of the site. The site will be rendered without CSS.
