Vertical groups are used to group brands together. This helps to access and organise the data associated with each brand run by your organisation.
The vertical groups page allows you to define your vertical groups as required by your organisation. For example; you can create a marketing vertical group and a financial vertical group. As you create the brands, they can be assigned to the appropriate vertical group.
Using vertical groups
There are two ways to use vertical groups:
-
Brands. Brands must be assigned to a vertical group.
When you create a brand, you must specify its vertical group:
See the Brands page for more details
-
Viewing data and reporting.
When you access ADvance the vertical groups and their associated brands are selectable in the header menu:
This allows you to select the data for a vertical group or brand to view in ADvance.
When a BIA method of segmenting your database to provide actionable data about your customers filter is created, you can specify which data you are applying the filter to:
The data source selection allows you to control which data you want the filter to apply to:
- Select all vertical groups and all brands to filter data from every brand and vertical group in your organisation
- Select a vertical group and all brands to filter data from every brand in a vertical group
- Select a vertical group and a brand to filter data from a single brand
